Too small (2010-06-24) Rating: 1/5
Beware! The description says 43-inch ARC. That is measuring on the actual top surface of the umbrella. The diameter, which many manufacturers' use to describe their umbrellas and is what is really important to users, is 37 inches. It is miniscule and not suitable for my six-foot height even with hardly any wind.
They should not have described the umbrella using a measurement which is almost meaningless.
Didn't work (2010-06-07) Rating: 1/5
Sorry if I'm missing something, but I couldn't get this umbrella to stay open. I read the directions and can't figure out what the issue was. In addition, I didn't like the fact that because of the complicated way that it folds up, it ends up being rather fat and stubby when closed. Sending this one back.
Thunderstorm-proof! (2010-06-04) Rating: 5/5
I had this with me today when a thunderstorm hit hard, and this umbrella managed to withstand some major wind gusts. And I had it with me because it is small enough to fit in my bag. Great purchase, all in all.
ShedRain WindPro Mini Umbrella (2010-05-29) Rating: 4/5
I had a ShedRain umbrella for many years and had a fall while using it and it was damaged. So, I liked it so much I purchased another one. The only thing that I'm not happy about is the old one had a nice size handle this new one-- well -- the only way to describe it is " It's like a nub". Other than that its a good umbrella. They could go back to the old style handle and raise the price a dollar people will pay it and they would be much happier. Also the old umbrella had a much nicer case for storage.
Not Windproof (2010-05-26) Rating: 3/5
With the design of the umbrella the canopy is not very deep so if the wind changes directions like it often does in NYC it will still flip inside out
