Samsonite Travel Blanket

along with the pillow, a disappointment. nothing special and not worth buying. didnt even take this blanket with me on the plane once i received and saw it.

I used this blanket on a trip to Hawaii and it was very comfortable. The only con is that I wish it was jsut a little bit larger. I still would recommend it to friends.

Blankets are blankets...pretty simple. I originally bought this and other accessories for a long flight from the East Coast to Hawaii and have since used them regularly for all cross-country or longer flights. I gave this 5 stars for the following reasons.

1. At only $10, this is a well made blanket that I would not agonize over if it got lost, damaged, stolen or abandoned.
2. Perfect size to cover you up and it is nice and cozy warm. Bigger, softer and thicker than airline ones.
3. It is YOURS! Not an airline provided God-knows-how-many-people-or-who-has-used-it-for-what-before-you-and-when-was-it-last-washed-anyway blankets. Brrrr.
4. Excellent as a beach blanket or other blanket usages at your destination. We even use them at home on chilly nights just watchin TV or a movie.

The only CON is that while it is a travel blanket, and a good one, it does not fold/roll down to the size of a matchbook. Think more of a small firelog, but it can be squished down further when compressed into your carry-on...so if space is important to you be aware of this, especially if you are decked out with the travel pillow, eye shades, neck pillow, lumbar pillow etc. :)

By the way, the Samsonite zip up pillow is also a great deal and for the same reasons as above.

This blanket is nice, soft and warm. It is made of very fuzzy fleece and is big enough to cover 1 person up to the neck or so. The color is NOT this nice bright kiwi-green show on the page. It is more of a bright-neon-yellow-green (think highlighter) color. The edges are finished with a simple zig zag stitch all around and nothing else. I guess for $10 you can't ask for more.
