While I am a big fan of plastic shopping bags (I know, I know, but they are so handy for the little trash cans in the bathrooms and such), these bags are terrific. Very durable, large capacity, and most definitely sturdier than plastic or paper. And they look great!

My only challenge now is to REMEMBER to grab these before I head into the store!
Handle not quite long enough (2008-07-16) Rating: 4/5
I like the bags, but the handle isn't quite long enough to hold in my hand and put over the same shoulder. I'm only 5'8", and I don't think my forearms are freakishly long. I also have a Reisenthel Eden bag, whose handle is long enough to put over my shoulder with the same hand. I wish the Baggu handle was just a bit longer.

I'm usually asked about my bags when I take them to the grocery store because they don't look like the typical "green" bag that are pushed by the grocery stores. I like that they come in so many colors and that they are washable. They hold a lot and are very sturdy. The wide, extra long handles are good for two things: putting them over your shoulder like a true tote and to tie them closed while they are in my car to prevent the items from falling out during the ride home. These bags may be a little more pricey than the usual reusable grocery bag, but it's worth it because they can be used at any time for so many other reasons other than hauling groceries. The fact that they can fold up so small into their own little pouch means that I can carry one in my purse or car at all times for whatever may come up. I've even used them for putting wet swim suits into on the way home from the pool.

I like these bags. I bought them as end of year work gifts too. It would be nice if the pack came in different colors too or different color combinations. I do think it's little pricey too, but worth it anyway. They held up very well for me and are great to toss in a purse or travel bag.

Since I don't need or re-use plastic shopping bags, I figured this was something I can do for our environment. I purchased 12 of these sturdy shopping bags in sky blue and use them every time I go shopping. I keep one in my purse for small purchases and the rest in my trunk for grocery shopping. I take them out of the pouches they are in and carry them inside one bag. I use the little pouches for traveling. They are great for jewelry, etc.
These Baggu bags are strong, nice looking and hold twice as much as the plastic bags a lot of stores use. I am always asked where I got them!
